JUST DRIFT hosted their annual 2 day drift event called All Star Bash again this year and it was another fantastic event! Pros, Pro Amateurs, and even Amateurs come to Willow Springs once a year to shred for 2 days straight. Pros get to loosen up a bit and the Pro Amateur dudes get to come to celebrate their completion of their series or their earnings of getting their Pro2 Licenses!
Two different tracks are ran – One is called “Streets of Willow” and the other being “Horse Thief Mile”. Each track being completely different to drive. Streets is a huge track with 100mph+ entry’s and Horse Thief Mile is literally built on the side of a small mountain.
JUST DRIFT continues to grow this event year by year and this year they capped registration at 60 drivers for them to be able to run two days straight without groups. This reminded me of hearing the stories of when ASB used to be an invite only event. It was a limited amount of drivers, but it was enough track time to run out of tires by the first day.
All Star Bash is also known to completely dismantle your car from going off track… You know it was a good weekend if all you broke was some of your body kit. We’ve heard quite a few stories from drivers and very few end with, “My car stayed in one piece”.
We can’t thank all of the staff enough for putting on another awesome ASB this year and having us out to do media. It was a great experience covering all 4 rounds of Top Drift this year and All Star Bash was the perfect way to end our season as well. We will be back again next year for a few rounds. Here is our photo gallery from ASB16, we hope you all enjoy!
