Bashing into Oregon

Each year we travel further and further. This year we found ourselves traveling all the way to Medford, Oregon from Phoenix, Arizona for Bash To The Future V presented by Medford Cruise. Each year we have seen posts from Bash on the internet and this year we decided we wanted to be apart of those posts.

This trip was roughly 16 hours one way, but was 100% worth the trip. A lot of cars were there that we were able to recognize from the Great Internets as soon as we got there. We knew this weekend was going to be rad.

Saturday started off quite early – track was hot around 9:30 in the morning. The weather was a bit cold, but still perfect. Everyone headed onto the track to begin 2 days of driving. We were extremely impressed with the level of driving from a more grassroots event. There was everything from 4 car tandems to 8 car tandems literally all day long. Not only that, but everyone who was tandeming, stayed relatively close or on each others doors.

Saturday lasted until 11 at night and Sunday ran from 9am to around 6pm. It was probably one of the coolest experiences to be out on track in the pitch black while people are still tandeming, sometimes even without headlights, just the lead drivers headlights lighting the way. We also hadn’t experienced 20+ hours of drifting in one weekend.

If you’ve never been to Oregon or this event, you definitely should. Oregon is absolutely beautiful and the track venue might be a go kart track, but it’s a blast. This was the 5th annual Bash To The Future and each year it keeps getting better and better. Tandem Of Die, Medford Cruise, and others have done an awesome job organizing this event to what it is today. What was mainly a local event to continue drifting in South Oregon, has now become an event people all over from the Southwest of the U.S. are traveling to each year. We hope to return next year!

Our new comments section is now enabled at the end of this article. We would love to see some discussions on the event, our work, etc. Thank you!
